Reading this makes me wonder if I am an Incremental or Entity theorist. I believe that in school I become an Entity theorist, I usually want to shoot for a high grade and I set performance goals. But I know that those habits should change quickly mainly because of the major and the career I want to purse. I plan on majoring in nursing and that'll require a lot of patience and stay on track long term for the goal I am trying to achieve.
I like the quote "Mastery is an Asymptote", When I used to play basketball I'd always try to mastery every skill needed to a great basketball player. Whenever I think that I had a flawless season, I would always try hard and push for mastery. And sometimes I would get frustrated on certain games because I feel that I haven't worked hard enough, and It made me wonder why am I pushing myself this far, even if I can't reach perfection. Which brings me to this inspirational Dr. J quote"Being a professional is doing the things you love to do, on the days you don't feel like doing them".
